Founding member and Head of Ola Food Division, Pranav Jivrajka exits OLA

Pranay Jivrajka, one of the founding members of OLA and the former CEO of OLA foods, has left the company. In respect of Pranay Jivrajka, an official spokesperson stated, “We thank Pranay for his many contributions through the years, and wish him the very best for his future endeavors.” Pranay Jivrajka was also elevated to the designation of a co-founder before his exit.

Bhavish Aggarwal and Ankit Bhati founded OLA in 2010, which has been expanding rapidly in the past few years. OLA has expanded its business to UK, New Zealand, Australia, and other countries. OLA also started its business in the food delivery industry by making the acquisition with Food Panda and Foodtec. The company has also been expanding there business by opening a new venture name OLA electric.

 OLA recently started building a new factory in Tamil Nadu, which is spread across 500 acres. The company claims that this automated factory has the capacity to build 10 million electric two-wheelers by June 2022. The company will also export its goods to different continents like Latin America, Europe, Asia, and more. OLA is planning to launch their first range of electric scooters in the coming months. Expansion of the company will also help stabilize the country’s economy. 

 Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the mobility business was affected massively in 2019. However, the spokesperson of OLA has stated, “the mobility business is slowly getting back on track. The startup has raised $3.5 billion to date and counts marquee names like Temasek and Softbank as its investors.” 

Pranay Jivrajka left the organization after the company started coming back on track and reviving from the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. The news has been confirmed by a spokesperson of the company. Before leaving the organization, Pranay was heading the OLA food division.
